As we were walking back to the RV we spotted a wild pony just across the street from the RV. We woke up the boys so they could see the pony. The pony went around at different people's campsites probably looking for food. As we were watching that pony we heard neighs down the road. It turned out that there were two more
ponies down the road. Those two ponies eventually walked down the road and met the other ponies. As soon as the three ponies met two of them started grooming each other. It just looked like they were biting each others manes. After they all groomed each other two of the ponies lied down and went to sleep and the other one fell asleep standing up. Then we had pop tarts and cereal after Dad tried to make grits. After a good beakfest we hit the road. As we were leaving the campground we saw harem band of 8 ponies. I guess people at the campground are used to seeeing wild ponies because they just walked right by them like they weren't there.
We drove for about 4 hours until we got to Kutztown University were Conor has a pole vault camp. We made sandwiches there, waited till Conor got set up, said goodbye to Conor, and then drove to the campground. After we figured out our spot at the campground we drove to Kutztown Tavern to watch the World Cup finals. If any of you didn't watch the finals yesterday it was Spain against the Netherlands. At halftime when it was tied 0-0 we ordered 4 soft pretzels and buffalo eggrolls. Those were the best pretzels I've ever tasted in my life! Eventually Spain won in the second period of extra time. In our family World Cup draft I have Spain and the reward for winning is everybody else has to make you a dessert of your choice.
After the game we drove back to the campground and got settled. The campground is called Blue Rocks and has a mile long bolder field. The campground is also located 1.5 miles off the Applachian trail. There is a hike that starts at the campground and joins with the Applachain trail. The 6-mile long hike leads to Pinnacle Rock. We hiked for about 4 miles but turned back because we were losing daylight and we didn't have a reliable map of the hike. The hike there and back took about 2 hours. We would've gone in the pool but it was closed for a church group so we took showers and had a campfire. Then we had Ritz crackers with dip and 'smores. After we were stuffed we played 20 questions. We had to guess about places we've been on this trip. After 20 questions we went to bed after a long day.
